Yumi and Her Allergy:
At the Asian Night Market
Yumi is ready to go to the night market, but she’s nervous about what kind of food will be there. Yumi has to be extra careful because she’s allergic to peanuts and shellfish. Taking the plunge to places that serve food can be nerve-wracking, but it could be exactly what Yumi needs to find her voice and strength.
This book is a wonderful resource to engage children in discussions surrounding allergies, prevention of reactions, how to navigate situations where allergens are present, and epi pens.
